Helping children transform challenges into successes through scaffolded support grounded in Vygotsky’s theory building confident, independent learners.
Specialised therapy for learners from 6 years to Grade 10, tailored to their unique strengths.

When reading gets easier, everything changes: confidence increases, homework time drops, frustration disappears, and academic results improve fast.

and organised, everything improves,
study time becomes easier, exam stress drops, and academic
performance rises with confidence.

(number sense, problem-solving, maths confidence)
When maths starts to make sense, confidence increases, problem-solving improves, frustration fades, and academic progress becomes faster and more consistent.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Educational Support (Stellenbosch University)
South African Counsel of Educators
I am an Educational Support Therapist with over 20 years of specialised experience helping learners succeed in school and grow in confidence. I work with children from age 6 to Grade 10, providing evidence-based intervention that turns frustration into progress and confusion into clarity.
I hold a Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Educational Support (Stellenbosch University), and I am trained in Vision Therapy, the Do & Learn Program, Cognitive and Learning Support Interventions, and Auditory Processing / Filtered Sound Training. My approach is grounded in Vygotsky’s learning theory and built on scaffolding—guiding learners step-by-step just beyond what they can achieve independently, until skills become secure, automatic, and confidently applied.
Where necessary, I use diagnostic assessments to identify the root causes of academic challenges rather than treating only surface symptoms. From there, I develop a personalised therapy plan with clear goals, measurable outcomes, and practical at-home strategies to reinforce learning between sessions.
Therapy sessions are structured, engaging, and interactive, using proven methods in phonics, literacy, numeracy, cognitive development, and learning strategies to build strong foundations. I work closely with parents and teachers, because real progress happens when everyone supports the child in the same direction—both in the classroom and at home.
Every child deserves to feel capable. With the right support, effort becomes progress, and progress builds confidence. The giraffe teaches us to stand tall, see further, and grow with grace—and that is the heart behind every session in my practice.
“Stand Tall, Learn Bright” isn’t just a theme in my practice—it’s a belief that every learner can grow with the right tools, guidance, and mindset.
